Why would anyone argue with al gore? He's been selling an idea for decades, that directly conflicts with his life decisions. Either he doesn't believe his own story, or he's comfortable with makingit worse, if it makes things better for him, personally.
I never met the guy, but I saw his movie. When I was in the army, one of my buddies hated him and tipper. Apparently, they are complete dicks to work for...
That being said, from a former GW doubter, it makes sense that if the assets can't be used, they shouldn't be used in the valuation calculations.
I wouldn't trust his numbers or math, though.

Reading over that seems a little harsh on gore. My main point is that activists aren't where anyone should look for investment advice.

His track record for investing looks pretty good to me.

I don't own any energy companies like he is referring to, but I understand his point. He may turn out to be wrong in the end.

On a separate note...His father was a popular man in TN.
