Today I tidied up my emergency tool bag that I carry in my trunk. I've been meaning to post up its contents for awhile now so here it is. Since I mostly use my car to get around, the bag is nearby 90% of the time. Kind of EDC. Although I've used it in a pinch, I mostly use it on other peoples' cars and homes when I'm out and about.
It's an old computer bag I picked up free someplace long ago. Many compartments and made of sturdy nylon.
Tools to good to have when driving a 34 year old car. Wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammer, drill with bits in handle, taper reamer, hacksaw, bolt cutters, wire cutters, files, hex/torx keys, tubeless tire repair tools, cheater bar.
Glue and other goodies. Five minute epoxy, high strength epoxy, steel putty epoxy, rubber cement, tire patches, zip ties, electrical tape, stainless steel wire, self fusing rubber tape, hose clamps, glass filled epoxy.
Tie downs and other gear. Ropes, paracord, head light, blue nitrile gloves, magnesium fire starter.
Electrical Tools. Voltmeter, backup voltmeter pen, butane soldering iron with blowtorch head, solder, wire crimpers, diesel glow plug.
Some stuff from my door pocket. Swiss Army Knife, baby wipes, Lithium ion powered flashlight, tanto knife, pepper spray, pen, iphone charger, stuff jacket windbreaker, sunglasses. Not shown are another bag of hose scraps, light bulbs, fuses, oil, water, transmission fluid, diesel filters, fix-a-flat, old fleece jacket, baseball cap and the giant Mercedes Benz built in first aid kit.
