Wow. Some serious life skills here.

I came across this article today, about a family that was so isolated in Siberia that they didn't see anyone else (other than their own family) for 40 years. Two of the children had never seen people other than family members. They did not know that WWII HAPPENED. Although they were found (in the 70's) in pretty squalid conditions, they were sort of (just...) making it. The story about the single seed of rye was interesting.... Anyway. I just thought it was interesting from a self-sufficiency standpoint.

Yes, it's a good example of extremism and how much we need each other. A lesson for preppers who think they can survive alone with family.

Lots to learn. Especially the film jennypenny found.
Think the most is having the mental power to go on, even after there was only one seed left....
And the remarks of the daughter after seeing tv...

Oh yes, this story is one of my favorites! For me it is about the plasticity of human beings and how we can adapt to live and survive under rather extreme conditions during less than one generation.
