I am beginning to feel the love from these free days of retirement.

For whatever reason, when we built the house, we skipped the Insulated Garage doors. I got a light bulb moment showing me I could stuff 3" thick insulation in the opening of the panels, and cover those with 1/4" smooth plywood. 4 pc 1/4" plywood and 150 sq ft insulation, a few sheet metal screws and it was done. At the same time, new bottom door seals and paint the inside and outside of the doors. Took the doors from looking cheap to upscale in one day. Cost under $100.00.

Looking now at everything to make it better.

(Previous move would have been to call an overhead door company and get new doors.) Now I have time to think it over. Which is better? $2,000.00 or $100.00 for the same effect.

Thanks Retirement!
