Many thanks for the vote and good wishes. Greenlight doesn't give enough information to be sure whether or not we're doing well, but unless this strong start fizzles, I believe it's going better than expected.

Nope, I don't think I mentioned it here at all.

It took a long time, but eventually we worked our way into the top ten games on Steam Greenlight, at which point it was accepted by Valve, and now the game is released on Steam:

If you enjoyed the game and have a Steam account, I'd much appreciate if you left a review of your thoughts on the game. It doesn't have to be long or in-depth, just honest.

Hi Ian,

Almost done with the game! Currently in the Retirement Dungeon! It's great! :D

Any chance you can tell me how I can destroy the top left statue by the portal in the Retirement Dungeon? Can't seem to figure it out.

---------------------------------

Some Bugs: I'm not sure if the version I'm still using is the beta, but the game had a tendency to crash when I was in the stage where I could fight Frugality Something Something or the Statistics/Data File or the final form of Empty Life. Also, after I defeated the final form of Empty Life, the game glitched where my main character cannot be killed--if his health goes below 0, it ramps back up to ~500 automatically.

I forget which statue is which, but they are destroyed by: opening the empty chest (NW), pulling the switch (E), pulling the lever (E), and defeating the secret boss (N).

As for the crashes, I'll try to duplicate them.

This looks a lot like pokemon. I think my grandkids would at least try it. Video games are lost on me, except maybe tetris, I've found that early retirement principals double as sound practical life/finance advice. Any vehicle for that is welcome. Great work!
