Somebody should bring a sign that says ERE.
Acceptable alternatives are hERE and 'ERE.

I will bring that sign. I just rediscovered a piece of cardboard I'd been saving that would be perfect for the occasion.jacob wrote:Somebody should bring a sign that says ERE.

Hey guys, sorry for the late notice. Something just came up and it looks like I won't be able to attend. Let me know how it goes!

Here are my thoughts after attending the meetup.
First thanks a lot to Jacob for this blog which enabled this free meetup .
We started at 1 pm and I was there till 4:30 pm. So investment of 3:30 hrs.
It was good to meet fellow fiers( FI seekers ) with topics ranging from Tibetan eating meat to candies to spiritual miracles. Some useful topics on rent, investment strategies, student loan, wonder washer etc were discussed. Overall, I feel more returns on time spent (RTS) can be achieved following a set agenda next month. A sample agenda could be.
A. Introduction if any new member.
B. investment strategies followed by each member and return realized or recent readings on it.
C. Cost saving techniques followed by each member and savings realized.
D. Things planned by each member once FI is achieved.
E. Extra Ad hoc chats for those having time continues after 4 rounds above.
So net net four rounds of useful information. For a group of 6 ppl , 2 hr would suffice to get the substance and updates.
Please share your views in today meetup.

Re: 2/2/2014 1pm NYC-area Meetup
The meetup was successful. Chris, Jeremy, BeyondtheWrap, IWantLess, and Servant79 were in attendance. Topics covered included investment strategies, spiritual practices, cooking, and low-cost housing options.
The venue was well chosen, with ample seating available, and the surrounding area was sparsely populated to facilitate finding one another. First use at an NYC meetup of an actual ERE sign that was not a notebook. Unfortunately, first NYC ERE meetup without any female members.
