Anyone using readsy or spritzlet? I've increased the speed to 400 WPM now that my brain has adjusted to it and I feel like I'm getting the gist of the articles I read. It seems like a great way to read on a phone.

Created an account and tried the spritzlet bookmarklet. It can be adjusted up to 1000 words per minute.

You are tempting me, but I think my ability to read will still outrun my ability to hear and comprehend.

this. pure reading speed is rarely the bottle neck if brute reads material of appropriate information density.enigmaT120 wrote:You are tempting me, but I think my ability to read will still outrun my ability to hear and comprehend.
Re: Readsy or Spritzlet?
I can see the allure of reading fast, but as others have alluded to several times, rather than fix symptoms of time-need, fix the underlying issue.
If I don't have time to read all that I'm reading, maybe I should become more selective about what I'm reading.
Incidentally that should also foster a greater appreciation of what one is currently reading.
BUT!!!!
If you can read work reports and other crap that you're forced to read, while still retaining the gist of it, I can totally see the point.
Luckily I'm spared of such diversion at the moment, so I guess I'm very lucky in that regard.
