Simple question, just curious really. I know it isn't as important as savings rate or anything like that.
I think if i saved 1000 days of wages I'd be able to survive. Maybe 1500 to 2000 to be able to travel a bit and do what I want to.
What is your retirement number divided by a days wages?

You would, at least for a short while---obviously on the order of 1500-2000 days if you measured in units of EXPENSES, maybe a bit longer if the markets keep going up, shorter if they go down.
Permanent retirement numbers are best defined by expenses though!
The 4% rule is defined by expenses, not wages. Here the Trinity number would be 365 days * 1/25 ~ 9000+ days of expenses. If you go by the 3% principle, it would be 365/0.03~12000+ days of expenses
PS: Technically speaking, your retirement number relates to a day's expenses by multiplying, not division.

Mine is about 1,667. But I don't really have a fixed number target. And I already have exceeded the low threshold of my number range. It took over 10,000 calendar days to get here though.
