@The Dude - I don't think we, as a group, agree on inflation values because we all have different experiences and fears.
I'll propose using 4%/yr as a long-term safety number since we haven't seen anything like multiple years over 4% since the early '80s. Personally, I expect the next couple of years to be under 3% -- at least until we see unemployment come down a couple percent or energy costs climb sharply.
