Soylent Thread?
I couldn't find the one I saw a while ago....
Who here likes Soylent? Are you buying it? Do you find it is adequate for a healthy meal?
thanks

Re: Soylent Thread?
Never tried it personally, but at $2.40 per 400 calories, it seems rather expensive way to fulfill nutritional needs.
Re: Soylent Thread?
Haven't tried it since 1.0. Liked the idea and figure once it gets mass produced the price would come down. Could be good for the van life.
But to be honest, at least with 1.0, it took too much prep work (for a decent tasting serving) to live up to its claims of convenience. Had to measure things out, add some flavoring like espresso or chai tea, use a blender, let sit in fridge.
I will probably try it again at some point.

i thought you can just drink 2.0 straight from the bottle with no other kind of prep?
If it's like a meal, 2.40 isn't a bad price for me.
Anyone else try it?
Re: Soylent Thread?
I did DIY soylent!
Definitely good if you want to drop weight, but a little bland.
I heard 2.0 is a real improvement!

thanks! I just revived the thread under Lifestyle topic.jennypenny wrote:@tylerrr--Were you looking forthis thread?forum.earlyretirementextreme.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3804
thanks for everyone's responses. I'm thinking of ordering some Soylent 2.0. If that can be a meal, 2.40 per meal is worth it for me. I would lower my monthly cost of food.

Re: Soylent Thread?
I have been drinking the bottled version a few times a week for the past several months.
IMO it's not filling enough to be a meal. It's more of a snack.

Re: Soylent Thread?
I drink a 2 to 3 Soylents (2.0) a day but have a home cooked dinner. Soylent satiates me like a meal. I like it. No digestive problems with it for me either.
