Learning is a life long process.

What are some sites that provides credible online courses?
What sites do you recommend?

How does it affect employability?

Do you think the certification is worth it? Or should we be taking the course for the sake of knowledge only?

Which courses have you taken and how was your experience?

Did they offer tests? If so, how was the grading done?(honour code, physical exams, hour length of tests)

How much is the fee for course, certification, tests?

I'll try to complete atleast one course on NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) this time.

I took a few Coursera courses as a refresher. I didn't put it on my resume. It was free at the time but now I think there is a fee. I found the courses helpful but they weren't anything special.

One problem I saw was rampant cheating. As a student you are expected to review others assignments. People would share answers and copy answers from online.

I did some courses on various platforms. Coursera, edx and recently Kadenze which focusses on the arts side of learning. I use it to get to know the basics of a subject I am interested in and want too learn more about. As I was new too most subjects the courses were quite good actually. Especially the longer run ones.

Some are not good and I think there is a long way too go before I would put them on my resume but it's a very good way and structured way getting into new new subjects and fields of interest without trying to get info from lot's of different sources.

I like it very much. And if a course doesn't live up to your expectations , look for others on the subject. There is more and more on offer.

My favorite class I've taken was online. a series of lectures on Stanford's YouTube channel called "Human Behavioral Biology" by Robert Sapolsky.

I never bothered to get certified but I've taken a few with tests/discussion groups on edx. Coursera, Khan, there's tons of free courses. You can mention it as it'll show you're interested enough to learn on your own.
