Online Freelance Service for Writers?

Hi everybody,
I’m looking to pick up a side hustle as a freelance proposal writer. I'd like to work remotely on my own schedule. I’m wondering about working through an online agency, possibly Upwork. Have any of you worked through them? How did the experience go? Can anyone recommend additional online freelance referral services for proposal writers with which they have had good experiences? Thanks!

I've hired people through craigslist, upwork and fiverr. Upwork was very organized, craigslist was less so.
