Email notification of PM

Post by BlueNote »

Does anyone know if there is a way to have an email notify me if I get a private message in the forum? I checked the FAQ and did a Google search but didn't find anything.

1. Click "Notifcations" toward the top of the page, next to the bell icon.
2. Click "Settings."
3. Check the box for email next to "Someone send you a private message."

The weird thing is that I have all the notification options checked, my email address is correct in the (profile>>edit account settings) settings. I also don't see anything in my spam filter through gmail. I just tried unchecking all the notification options , saving the setting and rechecking them and saving again. I also tried re-entering my email address.

When I send myself a PM I get no email notification at all, although I am not sure if notifications should work when I PM myself.

Are you getting notifications for other things but not PMs?

@BlueNote: FWIW, I just sent you a test PM.

I didn't get any of my notifications or recent test PM's in my email.

I checked my gmail spam filter and there was nothing there either.

Does this functionality work for everyone else?
