Problems with RSS Feed

Post by mrnikkel »

Does anyone else have issues with the RSS feed? The actual XML page shows the most recent post as Dec 15th, but viewing it in my reader (Feedly) doesn't show anything past Oct 23rd. I've had other issues in the past where it seemed to skip certain entries, but this is the first time I've noticed it just not update for nearly 2 months. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Jacob doesn't post new content very often anymore, the old posts just cycle through randomly. So I'm guessing the RSS feed just updates whenever he publishes a new post.

This is a known issue. Feedly and Google Reader are broken (Not my fault).
I'm not aware of any fix other than using another RSS reader.

As theanimal said, new content is rarely posted, but the feed does update. Verify here,

Jacob, did you change anything recently? Getting duplicate entries in my feedly now (wasn't the case a week ago).

Subscribed to both:

http://earlyretirementextreme.com/author/Jacob/feed

also, when I follow the link from the post to your site (for example http://earlyretirementextreme.com/where ... -from.html), the date shows as "Published on January 28th, 2015" instead of matching the sitemap "2014-03-13 20:20" or google cache "Published on August 23rd, 2014" or archive.org "Published on April 30th, 2010"

I appreciate the cycling of posts, but would be nice if dates were more accurate.

Would also be nice if comments on posts had dates.

Feedly is broken. Has been for years. They probably changed something in the past week.

Every time a post is recycled, the date is updated. Only posts that aren't time-critical are recycled. Others are taken out of circulation. The dates are removed because they are irrelevant.
