How to Browse the New Forums

This post is a quick overview of some ways to browse the new forums, especially in order to make it like the old forums where you could easily see posts from all forum sections.

Option #1) view active topics:

PS: set User Control Panel -> Board preferences -> My timezone

Option #2) RSS reader like feedly, subscribe to http://forum.earlyretirementextreme.com/feed.php

Option #3) Advanced: RSS reader + Yahoo Pipes

Using Yahoo Pipes you can suck in the whole RSS feed for the forums, filter it down to just what you're interested in, and then subcribe to that.

For example:

this will let through only posts to my journal (title contains akratic) or posts by jacob and a few other people.

In my RSS reader I have both the full forums and this filtered down one, depending on how much time I want to spend.
