Alternatives to Bikes

So yeah does anyone have an idea for an alternative to a bike that is nongas consuming because I never learned to ride a bike when I was young.*

*Yes, very shameful, I know, so shush.

I was in the same position as you--never learned as a kid. My alternative: Learn.

I picked up a bike a month or so ago. Took it to a parking lot at a local park. In about an hour I went from unable to even start pedaling to starting from a full stop and swooping through the parking lot.

I'm by no means an expert yet and certainly wouldn't get on the highway with it, but learning to ride isn't that hard.

It always bothers me that others have skills I don't have, so I say follow Spartan's lead. I bet it doesn't take long at all.

Ideas:
- Learn (as stated above)
- Walk/hike. If this is your primary mode of transportation, invest in some good shoes, socks, backpack, etc.
- Kick scooter
- Electric NEV
- Electric car

Just start learning! In the Netherlands, where all kids learn how to ride a bike, I often see adult immigrants practicing with help from their children on empty school playgrounds for example.

Serious: learn it. It's not that hard and great to do.

Btw, I am from the Netherlands and actually never realized that some (many?) kids in a non-3rd-world country never learned to ride a bike. In any case, never too old to learn it.
