Places that give you freebies to live there

I was especially amused by the entire state of Kansas, since I was born there. But I think its a general trend for most of the (physical) U.S., where population is declining. Japan actually has a similar or even more acute problem in many areas, where houses are being abandoned in droves, because they are outside cities and nobody wants to live there.

There are probably a lot more of these out there. Anything noteworthy that you are aware of?

Qatar has free public transport busses if you live there IIRC.

Idk of others but Harmony is in a very pretty area. And would be a nice location if you were FI or location independent. You also could get an Amish built tiny house for cheap (I suspect) Its out for me because I am only moving to places warmer then my present location so all of MN is out
