I live in Georgia, and I'm 33. I've been lurking for a few weeks now and have enjoyed reading the journals. My situation is different than most because I don't really have tens of thousands in the bank. I make good money, some $30,000 a year, but I have to pay the rent and the bills with most of it. Thankfully, I don't really have loans to pay, or else I would have been doomed.
Early retirement sounds good and attractive, but I think I have to explore the subject thoroughly.

Welcome and enjoy. Remember we're all different. I also make less than some others here (although I probably also make more than some others here). I started with only a bit of money in the bank, but through saving every month, every year, now it's a lot more. I think you can do the same. It'll take a bit of time. Enjoy your journey!
