    by Benjamin Franklin.

An old book, to be sure, but the principles are timeless and very ERE-friendly. I wish I would have read it in my college years. This book, in my opinion, is on par with another ERE favorite - Your Money or Your Life. A short read - only about 125 pages. I strongly encourage it.

One of my favorite sayings, which I find truly appropriate in light of the recent economic bubbles:

"When the well is dry, they know the worth of the water."

I can't recommend this highly enough. This is the plain common sense that is the basis of ERE.

    My favorite is this quote:

"Get what you can and what you get, hold.
'tis the stone that turns lead into gold."

That pretty much is the ERE saving strategy.

I third the suggestion. An interesting read, indeed!

And it costs next to nothing to get hold of: It is free to download!
