Hello Hello
First of all, I AM a big fan of this site and the book. I read the book about a year ago and was into the frugal aspect of living pretty much my whole life. My question is, what do you see is missing in the whole blog community for frugal living? A lot of the sites really suck, no? But, like my name says, I'm an urban bohemian. Living a full life and cheap doing it. I kind of just want to do a boring "i live on 1,000 a month" thing. But asking you guys...what's missing in the cheap scene?

My main piece of advice, if you want to appeal to someone like me, is to pick a niche topic, something not so mainstream that has already been covered a bunch of times. Everyone has heard the mainstream advice, perhaps try to go one or two steps past mainstream.
I wish this person still blogged: http://under1000permonth.blogspot.com/
I am slowly going through her backposts.
I spend a lot of time browsing PF blogs looking for new ideas, but am becoming increasingly burned out. I don't need "5 ways to save $100" when those ways are, trim your cable package, turn down your thermostat a degree or two, bring your lunch to work. ZZZZZZZ. Challenge me!

The act of buying and selling is changing fast. Science is replacing the art of selling. Psychological manipulation is replacing gentle persuasion.
I find this fascinating. I like to understand how I am being manipulated.

What's missing is a good site that would ssummarily index these "frugal" sites and tell people what is there and who it is targeted at.

I don't have anything for the "next exciting project". However, something that would be immensely useful is a form of consolidation of all the information that exists out that. Posts that summarize everything known about subject X with links to all the good posts all over the blogosphere.
If I had a higher tolerance for pain, I would have written something like that.

@Ego: You'll probably enjoy this post, somewhat related to the science of consumption that you mentioned:
