    Nikola Tesla was a "highly thinking and plain living" man who after learning of such extreme sacrifices his parents made for his education, decided to change the world with his life-energy thru experimentation and inventions.

    This topic is aimed at discussing Scientists, Physics, and reaching the Goal of ERE to be able to Pursue anything you can Dream of.

    Google books now has every digitalized book for free reading and pdf download from before 1923. (Taking advantage of reading some Harvard donated books about Nichola Tesla to find the "Hidden Inventions and Truths the Powerful Lords of Men do not want you to find out about".)

    Gravity is a wonderful thing to mention, that can not still be defined. It is my personal theory and belief that Gravity is on the EM Spectrum, just like Light, and like light has both mass and wave properties, thus it can be amplified (with enough Energy) for instant intergalactic Travel.

    You have to think big, live a passionate, motivated, creative, and frugal life in order to change the World with your Soon to be Amazing Inventions for Humanity and the Sciences.

    I am currently reading "Experiments with Alternate Currents and High Potential and High Frequencies" by Nikola Tesla at Google-Books for Free. Something i could never do without the Internet and Google Tools (and innovations) unless i went to Harvard's Library (for free).

    What do you think of Nikola Tesla? His inventions, his many many patents, his lost books and secrets, his applications that changed Power plants and the Automation industry let alone AC current around the world?

    Nikola Tesla was a great man. Decades ahead of his time. It always upsets me when I hear someone lavishing praise on Edison, who IMHO was a Grade-A Asshole. I understand why they are grouped together as contemporaries, but Tesla is the one who deserves praise, not Edison.

    Just like Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, but I digress...

    I remember reading about his vision of a power cloud that could be used to supply power. He was already thinking about wireless technologies. He was a real visionary. It frustrates me to hear him categorized now as mentally ill. He was probably someone who would fit in here on the forum.

    @M741,

    I read about the wars between Edison and Tesla, Edison even went as far as using Tesla's DC Current for Executions to stage his digest in it.
    While Tesla was making remarkable deals with Westinghouse, and breaking up too costly contracts of $2 / Horsepower. (Shows the real net worth and potential of only one of Tesla's inventions, let alone each one of them.)

    I currently live in Western PA, where Tesla and Westinghouse formed their alliance, and it isn't even that well recognized here after 110 years!

    Now, about that secrett electric AC Engine that Tesla built that drove up to 90 MPH without a single battery or tank of Gas, just off of Low Frequency Earth Wave Guide propagations...This may be the discovery that will shed more Light on Tesla's Brillance!

    @Jennypenny,

    For some reason or another, his fame is slowly growing as more and more technology Companies use his patents as the foundations for Wireless Technology and many many other devices.

    Even Hollywood is secretly spreading the message to his genius patents and inventions behind some of their movies, though with a mystery siliquette to them.

    His visions and experimentations are legendary to this day, and are still incomplete and most of his Black Books were classified/stolen by spies the day he died during the time of the Cold War.

    Companies are now getting their hands on these classified scientific discoveries after getting enough money and power to twist and turn the politicians and power countries who classify Research and Experimentations like these books from Visionaries.

    Tesla would definitely be one of the people I would want to have "dinner" with if I could. Fascinating pure genious. He was all about the science and Edison was all about the business science could provide. Both viewpoints matter, but the pure science one should be the more respected.

    I grew up in Western PA and lived in Pittsburgh until about 7 years ago. I always thought it was a shame that Westinghouse faltered and GE flourished.
