    What Podcasts do you listen to / recommend ?

    I listen to them quite a bit while doing certain things around my apartment (Doing the dishes, cleaning, etc.). I'll also be going on a long road trip for Christmas - a 14 hour drive each way - and I could use something to listen to so I don't go crazy from boredom.

    Some that I enjoy:

    - Freakenomics (iTunes)

    - The Survival Podcast (iTunes) Jacob was a guest on one show. I also recently listened to a special spoof 'cast he did - a fake "Zombie Apocolypse" show that had some pretty funny moments.

    - Harry Browne - Money Talk. (He talks about a lot of stuff other than just the Permanent Portfolio).

    - Paul Boyer - Mad Money Machine (iTunes) (Permanent Portfolio / Lazy Portfolio comparisons)

    - The Crawling Road Podcast (Permanent Portfolio) (iTunes)

    - The Lew Rockwell Show (haven't listened to this a whole lot yet myself) (iTunes)

    - Stuff You Missed in History Class (iTunes)

    And some that I've noticed while I was hunting around for the links above and decided I should check out:

    - iTunes U ??? I need to check it out..

    - NC State University Permaculture course lectures (these are videos)

    - Sustainable World Radio (Permaculture) (iTunes)

    @C40,
    If you are after Meditations, here's a free recording of the book for your long trip:

    Here's one other thing.

    Massey lectures by Wade Davis available for free. Davis' an anthropologist and in this series he talks about indigenous societies' globe trotting lives without modern trappings, since they lived in harmony with nature.

    Ever since I shared the lectures within my circle here in India, people actually went ahead and got the book for themselves — felt good. Davis has a good voice and is naturally emotive, as it is a topic close to his heart. You may find it entertaining, engrossing and informative on other cultures.
