A group of us got together in NYC last year, and it was a good time. Lets plan something for October.

I've setup a Doodle poll to help arrange a good date: http://www.doodle.com/ypxgssgsndtqrsvy

Once there are five responses, we'll settle on a specific day, then workout location details. NYC itself is likely best, since it's central in terms of trains and other transportation.

Thanks Chris! I don't have my office anymore, but I can offer a decent apartment to meet up in in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Accessible via the F and G subways.

I'm interested. Tentative on 8/9, though, as I may be out of town.

Ok, we have five responses now in the Doodle poll.

m741, any more clarity on Oct. 9? If that date works for you, then we can accommodate everybody.

Alright then, October 9 is the day.

Zev, it's your place, so I think it's only fair to let you choose the time.

@Chris et al -- blargh! While we were waiting for survey filling, I've made plans for Columbus Day Weekend. :(

Still happy to host, but it will have to be some other time. Perhaps we can come up with something sooner? October is looking a bit full after that weekend for me...

Double blargh. I just posted the date on the blog a couple of hours ago. Maybe someone else can host?

I can't. Could we look at weekends in November? I'm free the whole month except for Thanksgiving weekend.

November would be great! That's when I'll be in town so I could make it then.

I'm fine with whatever date, just as long as it's not not that first week of October or Halloween weekend. I'm going to bus it down from Toronto and visit my aunts and cousins as well. :)

Sounds like October is shot. I've created a new poll for November:

Hi! My husband and I are followers of this blog and we'd love to meet with some like-minded people in NYC. So, we plan to come if the dates work out. I am really interested in how you all make ERE work in NYC.

    Thanks!

Hey there. I am also NYC based and would like to come if the dates work. I plan to be traveling throughout Nov but I will follow the forum and in the event the dates change would love to join in. Thanks!

I'm still happy to host, but I currently can't commit to November at all!

However, what about December 11, 12, 13 or 14th? That's a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, and early evening would work fine for the weekdays, or afternoon that Sunday.

Um, dunno how to make a poll...

We could do both November and December. I wouldn't mind that. Provided you all aren't too obnoxious. :)

November 13 is looking good for all respondents, and at least for me, December is a no-go. So I suggest going ahead with November, with December as an additional meetup.

November 13th is good for us. Does anyone want to host the meetup? We could host it at our place, if you don't mind coming to Bushwick.

November 13 is looking good for almost everyone. I'm going to leave the poll open for another week or so, just in case there are more responses.

Thanks for your offer to host; would anyone else like to host/have an idea where to meet?

Ok folks, so the date is November 13. 3pm is the time.

We have emilywul2 offering to host in Brooklyn. Any other offers or ideas? You don't need to offer up your place, we can meet basically anywhere if someone has an idea.

I'll be heading down via MTA. If anyone wants to meetup at Grand Central first, send a PM.

I'll be there! I'm not too far from Bushwick so I'll just meet y'all there.

This is now a week away. Any update on the location? Can emilywul2 confirm that her place is still available?

gordy50 and m741, both of you are more local than I am; any ideas on possible alternative locations?

Looks like no rain (or snow!) for next weekend, so that's good news.

Hi! Our place is available and we have a good amount of space for a meetup. I'm not sure that posting my address and # on the forum is a good idea, is it? How does this work?

We are looking forward to meeting you all!

@emilywul2 - Just PM or email those who said they'd come. No need to post contact info publicly.
