I just finished a book (borrowed from the library, of course) that made me think of our dear leader. The author is also a physicist with more than average environmental consciousness.

The book is called "How Bad Are Bananas? The carbon footprint of everything" by Mike Berners-Lee, a very entertaining Brit. It has just enough science to give those of us who favored the liberal arts a workout, but was a fascinating exploration of the CO2e emissions of many artifacts and activities. http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-Bad-Are-Bananas-everything/dp/1846688914

If anyone else has read it, I'd love to get their sense of it. The Amazon reviews were very positive -- 5s predominated.

Thanks. Will check for it at the local library.

Bananas are bad though...if you have some pre-diabetic tendencies like me!
