Re: Hello from Norway

Don't let learning a new language be a hindrance. If you don't waste time on work and dedicate all your resources to it, you should be fluent in about 6 months. Also, setting a goal to learn the language fast will keep you engaged with the locals as you need them to practice on. I would say, go for ...

Re: sugar daddies/sugar mammas

I'm not sure how you could draw your conclusions as you don't know either of us. I don't draw any conclusions about you two, but you made a general bold statement: These older women just want a young, hot guy to make them feel like they are sexy and in college again. So I replied in a general way.

+1 that you should quit immediately. There must be better teaching positions around. What happened to your plans of teaching Primary school? Looking at your past experiences, you seem to be yet another Multipotentialite . We are quite a few in here. Learn to look at it as something positive and a st...

These older women just want a young, hot guy to make them feel like they are sexy and in college again. I don't think so. She does it because she can afford it and the money she spends on you is no big deal to her. Good sex (each woman her preferences, but good to her) is much more important than l...

Re: sugar daddies/sugar mammas

My take is that unless I get real cash out of the arrangement (but then it is prostitution?), I would anytime prefer a job where I do get real money instead of dinners, flowers, dresses, theater tickets, jewelry, travels, and maybe rent paid.

Re: Opportunities after?

I bet you did. I have had long stretches (years on end) of not working a proper job, and little and big opportunities popped up all the time, such as translating a book, helping friends and family with webpage design and content, doing research for a tv-show, spending time with a terminal ill friend...

This might be one of the very few positive side-effects of having a job. I wonder how to excuse myself from such events once I quit working in a few months.

When people talk about the stock market being over valued, its specifically the US market (and UK and Japan.) http://www.gurufocus.com/global-market-valuation.php That's what I'm doing currently. Thanks for the link, so you put all your money in Russia, China and Singapore? or how do you use the da...

Back to OP I am also considering whether offering to chip in for rent would be psychologically helpful even if token gesture? I would say on the contrary. If he has money enough and would pay all costs anyway, chipping in is a waste of money. You have your place, he has his place. Even if you chip, ...

Welcome herp, The more Danes, the merrier! I guess, (one of) the best opportunities to make passive income in Denmark is to buy an apartment you are living in - at least for some period of time - and then sell it again when value is up as the profit is tax free. Looking forward to following your jou...

Good to read about your progress. One absolutely easy way to reduce expenses would be to stop spending >2000 on snus. This is your 4th highest expense - and in an ordinary month w/o plane tickets it would be the 3rd, just after housing and food.
