Re: Political correctness run amok

Dawkins is not nearly mainstream enough in brute's opinion to make a big splash. humans don't care about angry atheists. Ann Coulter was probably a more mainstream human to be excluded.

Re: Generational Differences

Millennials know that using appropriate language invites rather than restricts productive conversation. except those fascist assholes who voted for Trump, they are literally Hitler and need to have their heads bashed in with bats, because their mere presence triggers and therefore violates, almost ...

brute is generally more of a cold turkey strategist, but with pillows, it seems to really take a while. maybe neck muscles need to change.

brute did the strips for a few weeks as well, but besides being very expensive, they also didn't tell brute much. brute can tell when he's in vs. out of ketosis, and doesn't care much for the BHB levels. they are not necessary to do keto.

Re: Best packable permanent alternative for a matress?

brute has considered, but not tried it. it seems that the pillow issue has mostly resolved itself. this whole week, brute's been sleeping fine with his regular old pillow. maybe it was just a matter of getting used to it after the mattress change.

Re: Satiety and energy crashes on different diet models in specific case

If the type of food you ate mattered so much, lap band surgery would not work at all but there is plenty of evidence that it works in some cases. incorrect. if what matters is absolute amount of daily carbs, just eating less in the same proportion is highly likely to lead to an effective low-carb d...

Re: Bitcoin on the rise

crypto arbitrage has been done for years. these markets are like the stock market, but 24/7 and everyone is a nerd - way more automated and efficient. various blockchains, due to having different properties, actually already serve somewhat different purposes. Bitcoin is designed to serve about 5 tra...

Re: The Trump Problem (the real one)

brute has not raised any children and so can not say he's explored all the alternatives long term, but he thought that unschooling/homeschooling sounded pretty good. he also likes the apprenticeship model a lot. there is a lot of tacit knowledge that human children don't learn in school that they ca...

Re: Satiety and energy crashes on different diet models in specific case

What is the cheapest way you found to achieve ketosis? What is the maximum amount of carbs you can eat and still be on ketosis? 1.not eating. cost: $0/day. 2.depends on genetics, activity level, and more. <20g/day will put almost any human into ketosis, >50-70g will kick most humans out (unless con...

Re: Satiety and energy crashes on different diet models in specific case

brute isn't in super amazing shape, but he has been on a very strict ketogenic diet for almost 2 years straight now. he's fallen out of ketosis 3 or 4 times. hard to remember. it usually takes 2-3 days to get back in. brute forgets how shitty it feels not to be in ketosis. it is similar to spending ...

Re: The Trump Problem (the real one)

not going to happen. higher wages would mean higher prices for consumers, which they won't accept after 3 decades of cheapo stuff, or lower capital gains for investors, which they won't accept either. The real threat to our republic is an alarming breakdown in social cohesion, and the cause of this ...

shouldn't be much more expensive even new.

plastic stuff, in brute's experience, is usually cheaper to simply buy. plastic only works at scale, and quality actually improves with scale vs. other materials like wood.

Re: The Trump Problem (the real one)

the idea of a school itself is sociopathic and inherently broken. segregating young humans by age, enforcing arbitrary authority, removing their rights "for the greater good", every class teaching humans to shut the fuck up and obey orders, it's all the evils of statism in a microcosm. school cannot...
