TG 45 mg/dl
wow, that's by far the lowest TG brute has ever heard of. the healthy level seems to be <150mg/DL, so sl-owl-orris is < 1/3 of the healthiest limit.

Re: Google’s modular apartment plan hailed as possible housing crisis fix

work in the Bay Area is ingrained in the culture, but more as a vision/fun thing, not in the east coast way of hustling for money. of course Bay Area humans love to make money, but it feels different.

does leeholsen care to summarize it in a blurb, or give an idea on how it compares to ERE or other minimalist/retirement literature?

Re: "The opposite of poverty is justice"

great post. "intelligence" has been so poorly defined and elusive, the concept might as well be given up. brute would answer the "who's smarter" with: whichever aptitude is valued higher by the (broader, not just financial) market. in the stone age, maybe physical strength was super important. then,...

@sl-owl-orris: triglyceride/HDL ratio show off? Mine is 0.68. that seems absurdly low - is it calculated using mmol/L (civilized world) or mg/dl (US)? the US measurements are typically in the <2 - 4+ range, whereas the mmol ones are in the <0.5-2.5+ range. http://www.docsopinion.com/2014/07/17/trig...

Re: brute journal

tbh, brute is too lazy to keep the chain of source custody intact. he's not out to convince anyone who isn't asking.

there are facts on lab tests brute cares about: glucose, Hg/bA1C, triglycerides, HDL (and their ratio).

Re: "What the Health"

I feel like diet shouldn't be hard. The human body has thrived on all sorts of food. Just make sure it's unprocessed, there's a diversity of it, and it's consumed in adequate quantities. Avoid stress, drink lots of water, sleep well, exercise, and you're done. A tangent, but similar deal with money...

what if brute told Dragline that high fiber is the main factor in causing constipation and colon cancer..

fiber is good in the same way filter cigarettes are good. the whole fruit/veg thing is BS.

7Wannabe5 could simply take this as an excuse to learn how to build a simple house. might be a fun summer project, and a skill that could pay off. if kept to a single story height, how hard can it be?
