Re: Want to fight climate change? Have fewer children

I don't know how it is in the US, but in most european countries, If you have child and can't feed them, social services will hand you some money to avoid you to starve. And when we send food to a place were they suffer from starvation, this is what we do as well. If unhability to take the future in...

Hi, I'm glad to see you're happy in our beautifull country. You are right about real estate, unless you fall on a very good opportunity, it's not worth it to buy. I hope thing will keep being fine for you. I just want to add that if Migros is globaly more expensive than Aldi, stapples are as cheap i...

Re: Satiety and energy crashes on different diet models in specific case

What is the cheapest way you found to achieve ketosis? What is the maximum amount of carbs you can eat and still be on ketosis? I had good results with intermitten fasting. Now my body seems to be used to not eating, and even if I eat mostly pasta for a week, I can still get up, and walk 40 km befor...

I don't care about our actual culture. Most of it is shit.
But if Rhinos are put on an alp and are being milked and are dressed with bells for parade, they won't become cows.

Re: Want to fight climate change? Have fewer children

@fiby41 All your points are correct. But even if immigrants are all nice and assimilating, if one group stop to have child, and people from another group massively immigrate to where the first group used to live, the first group is going to be wiped out. You can think it as no importance. I think it...

Re: Want to fight climate change? Have fewer children

@jean And how would you test that? For that matter, why would you even think that would be a heritable trait? We can all do the math. Some will let that determine their actions, some won't. I have seen no indication that what I consider my best traits to be genetic. So my best way of helping humani...

I sleep well on my back, but I do roll on my side or belly every night. You just need to get used to it, and it only takes a few days.

Hiking up hills with an heavy backpack.
Or biking in a hilly area with a fixed gear. This will maximize work (power * time) your leg can do, and strong legs are the basics for any physical activity. Leg do the work, and arms just aply it in the right place.

Yes, thinking that i have to make music seems to help a lot. I produced one tune a day for the last days. Having responsabilities seems key. It's a take on procrastination that I've yet to see. Not 100 percent novel, but tackles procrastination from a different angle than usual. http://lesswrong.co...
