Thanks for all the advice everyone. I just baked this week's loaf and it turned out much better. I'm going to try a few different white bread recipes before I branch out into whole wheat or sourdough.

<t>Mostly what I'm looking for are recipes that have worked for other people. I think I may have gone a little overboard with the flour and my dough ended up being less pliable than it needed to be to form the loaf. Also, is getting a breadmaker a good idea? Obviously, buying things isn't the key to...

<t>I began my foray into baking my own bread yesterday. The bread was delicious, but could have turned out a little better. I've looked at several different recipes, and there seems to be a lot of different ways to do it. Does anyone have any experience with baking bread? I could use some help.<br/>...

In addition to what everyone else is suggesting, I highly recommend Agricola. If you're into Clue, you could also try Android, but only if you have a LOT of time to kill learning how to play.

Well that was a good bit of fun. Nothing like finding out I have nearly 200 times the amount saved up for retirement as other people my age (22).

@VinceG, I don't really have a problem fixing little things like that. I'm comfortable with swapping out parts and installing things, and fixing what I can. If building my own computer won't save me much money, then I don't really see the benefit.

<t>Thanks for all the excellent advice. I'm currently dealing with some issues attempting to purchase a custom system, so I'm thinking of just canceling the order and building one myself. Does anyone have any advice for where to buy parts besides Newegg or Tiger Direct? Also what's a good book on bu...

I've gotten a lot of advice, and as it stands, my current build doesn't have the VelociRaptor, just two 1TB HDDs, only one video card, and air cooling. Also no sound card.

<t>I have an X-Box 360 that I got for free, but I really prefer PC gaming because there are a lot of indie games that are on PC that I like to play (Dwarf Fortress, Minecraft, etc.), not to mention all the older games that are for PC that I like to revisit occasionally (Tycoon games, Starcraft, Diab...

<t>So here's the situation:<br/> I'm a soldier in the US Army and I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan. I read your same question on the GRS forums, and I'd say go with one of the Vanguard funds instead of sticking with the LifePath Fund.

@KevinW I was actually thinking that it would make a great semi-volunteer activity post-ERE. Just to supplement my income a little. I agree that it would be tough to make a living doing only that.

I already do PT five days a week, so I imagine it's pretty easy to get burnt out. I'd feel really good spending an hour being miserable and then sore for a few days if I knew it was a good workout, as opposed to PT, which is usually ineffective and a waste of time.
