Re: Open relationship?

Not sure why anyone in a relationship with 3 or more even wants to add the word marriage to it. Thus, no polygamy. I'm all for non-traditional relationships. Though, overall, Draglines negative, creates an over-supply of single men with nothing to do but stir up trouble , is a serious concern if it ...

Re: Investing first £25k (UK)

2nd Jacob's advice if he really wants to invest in real estate.

Also, based on the lack of financial knowledge, I bet he hasn't run the numbers on his real estate investment.

Re: Trump - Clown Genius

Yeah, you would think Trump would need to be benefiting some how from his ridiculousness, but he seems mentally unable to not cause a scene even when it's in his best interest. I have a friend like that. If he isn't going to get his way with something he will blow that something up even if it hurts ...

Re: Trump - Clown Genius

That's funny. You have to feel for most of Trump's appointees, though I'm not there yet with Sessions. These are extremely difficult jobs and Trump makes them even more so. I can't believe Jon Huntsman accepted the ambassadorship for Russia. A shame really, as he will probably get tarred with the wh...

Re: Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss *dives behind cover*

You're welcome. Yeah, I've watched a little of the TV show, read a couple of his books, and listened to a lot of his podcasts. I would stick with the books and the podcasts. They are definitely worth the time. The TV show, like almost every TV show, doesn't quite dive deep enough into the subject ma...

Re: Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss *dives behind cover*

As with anyone ever there is both good and bad. With Ferriss you get more good than bad. His research is usually sound and he is good at breaking the problem and the solution down to their respective parts. Also, as with anyone ever their solution isn't always the best solution for you, so think thr...

This guy is way more right than wrong, and it's very Henry Ford esque.

Re: Precious Metals and Offshore Bank Accounts

The problem begins with your premise. If you are displaced, you won't be able to buy a flight in that area. British Airways, etc. wasn't flying to most Syraian cities during the war/revolution. Also, it's unlikely you can walk up to the counter and buy it with gold, lithium ,etc. You would need to f...

Re: Marriage Trends

My preferred method of body disposal would be to be drug out into the middle of the woods and left for the animals, bugs, and bacteria. Of course, that's probably illegal most places, so the cheapest method is likely cremation along with a few kegs for a party. Zoroastrians follow a method where th...

Re: Trump - Clown Genius

Cruz? I can see Kasich, but Cruz doesn't seem to be well liked outside of the base. Of course, that could be my bias coming through, as I view Cruz as evil and Kasich as just another politician. I would have been happy to have Kasich as the Republican nominee from that poor field.

Re: Marriage Trends

I think modern legal marriage contract does tend to muck up what could be a more natural bond or pattern of human mating behavior. So, that's kind of what I was trying to get at with my "marriage without money" question. I would agree completely with this. I have always joked with my friends that I...

Re: How Libertarian Are You?

To have a robust world-system, I think it's imperative that all such systems are allowed to thrive for the kind of problem solving they do best. This is what I mean by a diverse ecological system of "governing"-forms. From a general systems-perspective, I think there's a lot of problematic effects ...

As a side note, we seem to think very differently, which is one reason why we miss on this subject.

Re: Marriage Trends

@7w5 Considering my score on the recent libertarian test, I don't think I qualify even if I was 14. :) Would you choose to get married in a world without money? I lean a little away from getting married at all, but this would increase the odds slightly (see below for more on this). What do you think...

Re: How Libertarian Are You?

2% Though, I think I would rate low for almost all pure measures of any ideology, as I never believe anything is as black and white as these ideologies propose. I can think of some exception for every one of those questions.

Also, who is saying they want a nobility?

Re: Trump - Clown Genius

Virtually any other GOP candidate as president would likely be doing better right now. But virtually any other GOP candidate would probably have lost to Clinton because the base wouldn't have turned out like it did in key states. That is/was the crux of the dilemma for Republicans. Lose, or win wit...

Re: The Trump Problem (the real one)

@jenny Yeah, it isn't perfect and I agree with what you said. Though, I do think there is more segregation in other parts of the country than you do. My friends in Pittsburgh and Cleveland are all segregated now, but one. They were also almost all from blue collar rural areas. My one friend near Eri...

One interesting thing about the top 4 articles is that Fox and Drudge are obviously targeted at an older demographic. Re: Where to invest with high equity prices

Definitely energy. I'm keeping an eye one EOG, CDEV, and a few of the other top tier shale producers for another good entry point. I wonder if this time oil will bottom enough to washout a few of the less well run shale companies. I can't believe that OPEC will be able to get Libya and Iraq, and to ...

...but I wouldn't call him a pawn in Putin's scheme. That's giving both of them too much credit. I would probably call him somewhat of a pawn. If Trump and his advisers fall for the info great. Russia helps to get a significantly more friendly president elected. Plus, if all of this ever gets found...
