Re: Passive House Design

It's about 7 centimeters for our installation. I was also hoping for a cooler roof because of the shading, but the panels get bloody hot on a sunny summer day, so my guess is, the roof might be even hotter than without panels. Haven't measured this, though.

Hi all,

I've also filled in the doodle. I'll try to come for real this time, together with my wife. She wants to know who all these crazy people are that I'm always talking about

Re: Halfmoon's journal

I was SO PISSED that DH was annoyed with my well-meaning mishap. Stupid superior male! I "decided" (perhaps this word suggests too much actual thought process) to JUMP INTO THE POND AND GET THE DAMNED CAGE MYSELF AND SHOW HIM UP. Wow. That water was cold. Also: I was fully clothed, and no...

Re: Able was I ERE's go log

Hi,

Just saw that you're still active on these forums and had to ask a question that's been bugging my mind since 06 Jan 2012.

Don't laugh too hard, ok? ;)

How is Able was I ERE a palindrome? I just can't figure it out... :?

Regards,

On our honeymoon we went to Curacao and I did a keelboat training on the Spanish Water. https://www.google.nl/maps/place/Spaanse+Water,[email protected].0774122,-68.8570166,15.25z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x8e837c35c2d0e9cd:0xba232288dc18bdde?hl=nl That was fantastic! Re: Ultimate compact household printer/scanner?

I have an HP multi-purpose printer/scanner at home, but I've started to use my Iphone with Genius Scan for scanning. Much faster than using the printer and actually very useful. I'm digitizing my entire administration with it. (Although I'll be glad when that's finished :) ).

I'd move. If the difference in cost is that small, it's worth it to have a better quality of life. Continuous noise can have a big impact on that.

Re: Navigating

Hi reepicheep, I had a similar problem last year. I brought printouts of route sections from Google Maps, but these ended up hard to read and not detailed enough at times. What I ended up doing halfway through, and will probably also do next time, is writing down an exhaustive list of all the towns ...

Re: Food for a cycling trip

Hi reepicheep, Maybe more consumeristic, but restaurants in smaller German towns have very good food for very reasonable prices. Last year I did a one-day, 140km cycling trip there and had lunch in a small town along the way. I had a big schnitzel menu with fries, salad and a drink on the terrace of...

I get a fixed amount of almost 830 euro/month from my employer. The car costs me about 330 euro/month, including everything, fuel, maintenance, taxes, insurance and depreciation (estimated). In the 4,5 years I've had it I have netted ~13000 euro, not including what I didn't spend on "bijtelling" for...
